Some months ago, we embarked upon an important project! Fast forward to November 28, 2025, we were excited to meet with local lawyer, Michaela Fazio to sign our “articles of incorporation”. This marks one of the final steps in securing our very own non-profit charitable status.
Michaela was quick to say yes to donating her time, knowledge and expertise. Her “why” was…her mom D.J. was a long standing member of our committee and Michaela remembers how rewarding it was for her Mom. She also recalled a time during her high school years when suicide had a tremendous impact upon our community following profound loss to suicide.
Michaela’s investment and contribution to our committee’s growing independence is pivotal in achieving our future goals and sustainability.
We are beyond grateful for Michaela’s guidance, expertise and unwavering support while navigating this momentous journey!
We appreciate Michaela’s time, energy and belief in our work!
Stay tuned for the official announcement when the entire process is completed!
The Sarnia Lambton Suicide Prevention Committee is beyond thrilled to be on the receiving end of an incredibly generous donation from TFT – Talk for Tamara. The $12,300.00 donation comes at an ideal time after our committee was denied funding by United Way for the second consecutive year. These much needed funds will be used to promote awareness, build capacity around safeTALK and ASIST Training, bolster Suicide Prevention and Intervention training in the Sarnia Lambton community. The committee also plans to host a Youth Forum to hear directly from Youth, what they feel it is important adults know about what is helpful when they are struggling and what else they would like to see offered in our community. TFT’s donation will also sponsor an entire session of Survivor Support Grief Group. We are both humbled by and grateful for Lori Lumley and her TFT team’s unwavering support.
The Sarnia Lambton Suicide Prevention Committee would like to convey our most sincere thanks to the Mike Harvey Foundation for their hard work and their dedication is admirable. Together, we strive to make Sarnia Lambton a suicide safer community. We appreciate their support and generosity.

On September 10, 2024, our community showed their support for World Suicide Prevention Day. Here are a few images that show the support we saw around Sarnia-Lambton. Thank you to our amazing community!
