Our Story

The Sarnia Lambton Suicide Prevention Committee has been in existence for over 20 years.
This group is comprised of professionals, including those with lived experience who have been touched by suicide.
As an integral part of this community, we work to start the conversation about and reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.

Our Mission

To foster a collaborative effort among individuals and organizations in order to promote community awareness and information about suicide.

To facilitate the availability of resources and support about suicide to persons who are feeling suicidal or are a survivor of suicide.

To promote public education, professional development and community advocacy regarding suicide prevention.

To identify the gaps in service in order to increase community capacity and response.
